Forest: or The UnconsciousA wise man once said every journey starts with one small step. This step has taken me from blazing sunlight to smoky darkness. It takes what seems like an extraordinarily long time for my eyes to adjust. What I see here is uncanny, frightening and yet attractive.
In front of me I can see some very tall structures. I follow them skyward with my eyes and they tell me they are trees. Branches thrust out trying to block what little light there is. This light is different somehow. On turning I see beautiful golden streaks of light bouncing off the ground but here it is different. Again I give my eyes time. No, I am not in the 'Christmas Spirit' as it were but my God am I happy. It may well by the amazing amount of caffiene I have consumed today but I am as happy as Larry. I had a laughing fit early and I felt so damn good. So here is a challenge! Laugh!!! Be happy! Just laugh! It's good for you. *giggling and smiling*
